About Us

History

The church was founded in 2004 with the help of Kabwata Baptist Church. Monametsi  Bahudi, the church’s pastor, was initially a lay leader as the church went through its early stages, and was ordained to the ministry in July 2012 by Kabwata to serve as Central Baptist’s primary preaching pastor. 

Church Officers

Elders:
Central Baptist Church Gaborone is an autonomous church lead by biblically qualified male elders.

Deacons:
Deacons are equally qualified with elders in terms of character and spiritual life.

1 Timothy 3:9-13
The one difference between their qualifications is that an elder must be able to teach, but the deacon doesn't have to be. The elders oversee the work of those who serve the Lord, and they are assisted in their work by deacons. The qualifications for deacons  are clearly outlines in scripture as those who serve while the elders focus on the Word and prayer
